Building on the success of the addition of a Math and Science lab at Dewey Elementary in 2015, the Optimist Club Foundation of Point Loma is seeking to expand the new lab into a full-fledged STEAM program.  The addition of Technology, Arts and Engineering to the Science and Math lab will provide the Dewey student with a well-rounded education.  Specifically, the Foundation is raising funds to provide computers and books for the expansion of the School library; a Makerbot starter kit for exploration of engineering and technology; and art supplies to expand the students creativity.
